On this Veterans Day I ask you take a moment to think about the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform. When I was growing up I never gave much thought to what service members were signing up for until I fell in love and married one! I learned first hand the rigors and sacrifice required to serve our great country. These are truly special people and our country would not be the same without them.

I have seen all over Facebook today the following post:

A Veteran is someone, who at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to the United States of America for an amount up to, and including, their life.

I am praying for the families that we know that had that check cashed. I am also praying for the men still in harms way.

I have written on this blog before about Al Nahas. He is a retired Colonel and a West Pointer from the class of ’67 who write the book Warriors Remembered. The book is officially released today. I would encourage you to check it out. His book documents the stories of the Vietnam Veterans Memorials around the country and the stories of the men who created them.

I ran across this on YouTube and thought I would share.
