This clip is the best explanation of the national debt I have seen. It is a little long, about 30 minutes, but it is very informative and entertaining. Most Americans have no idea of the scale of our national spending problems.

    That is a great video. I had no idea the trajectory we are on. The question is…. how do we get politicians, who make short term decisions, to make the right long term decisions for the country when they have negative short term consequences. These free spending politicians are giving away our future for the short term gains in the polls, the future of the country be damned.
