The first quarter of next year in real estate in the Houston, Tx area looks good.  Spring, The Woodlands, and Montgomery county areas, is especially in a good position for growth. The construction of Exxon’s new headquarters, new corporation relocating to the area.  I believe you’re going to see a sufficient demand for house’s in these areas.  This will be a good time to list your home for sale. As you know as demand increases, so do the prices.  This may be the time to get a good price for your home, and still be able to purchase home for reasonable amount.

Cochran’s Crossing was built out in 2008, it has a large amount of homes. There small square footage homes to large square footage home. The Cochran’s Crossing community is located in the middle part of The Woodlands. Starting near Kuykendahl Rd and Woodlands Pkwy heading North to Research Forest.

The Woodlands Grogan’s Point community is a beautiful part of the Grogan’s Mills area. This community is upscale, with large lots and beautiful custom built homes. Grogan’s Point is a one of a kind community, with all the amenities, and a well maintained golf course.

All homeowners are asked to cooperate in this collective endeavor in order to keep our community attractive. Survey your property frequently to see that it meets the following criteria:

  • Lawn cut, edged and fertilized regularly and shrubbery trimmed and groomed.
  • Street gutters swept regularly.
  • Boats and trailers stored out of sight.
  • Garbage, tree/yard waste and recycling should not be placed outside until the evening before pick up day, currently Tuesday and Friday.

The Village of Alden Bridge – The Woodlands, TX

One of the newer villages in the Woodlands, Alden Bridge was opened in 1994 when Roger Galatas was the president of The Woodlands Operating Company. He named it specifically after his home town in Louisiana.

One of the largest villages in The Woodlands, Alden Bridge is bordered by FM 2978 and FM 1488. It has easy access to Research Forest and the University Center. It has over 18,000 residents with approximately 7,000 homes. There are two shopping centers, the Alden Bridge Village Center, and the Windvale Village Center. The schools that service this village are Barbara Bush Elementary (K-4 grades), Buckalew Elementary (K-4 grades), David Elementary (K-4 grades), as well as Mitchell Intermediate (5 & 6 grades) Collins Intermediate (5 & 6 grades). Students go to both College Park High School and The Woodlands High School, depending on the neighborhood.

Village of Indian Springs The Woodlands,TX

The smallest of the villages, Indian Springs has only 2,200 homes and over 6,000 residents. It is names after the Indian artifacts from the Bidai tribe of the Atakapan Indians that were discovered in the area 1984.

Indian Springs is located in the south area of The Woodlands, just south of Woodlands Parkway, and west of Gosling. Known for it’s secluded feel and custom homes, Indian Springs is also the only village in The Woodlands with actual hills.

John Cooper School, a private college preparatory academy (K-12 grades) is located in Indian Springs and the Interfaith Child Development Center (one of the largest pre-school/child care centers) are schools located in Indian Springs. Public schools that service this village are Galatas elementary (K-4) or Coulson Tough Elementary (K-6 grades), Mitchell Intermediate (5 & 6 grades), McCullough Junior High (7 & 8 grades) and The Woodlands Ninth Grade Campus and The Woodlands High School.

Cochran’s Crossing – The Woodlands, TX

Cochran’s Crossing in The Woodlands was opened in 1983 and is located in the center of The Woodlands. Cochran’s Crossing Village is named after the Cochran family, which once co-owned the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Company, and is home to the renowned Palmer Course and The Woodlands Country Club.

There are over 16,000 people and 5,000+ homes in Cochran’s Crossing, comprising roughly 18% of the entire population of The Woodlands. The schools that serve this village are: Galatas Elementary, David Elementary, and Powell Elementary (all K-4 grades), Collins Intermediate School (5th & 6th grades), the Ninth Grade Campus, and The Woodlands High School (10th – 12th).

Turn on your lights between 7:00pm and 10:00pm each night Dec. 9, 10, 11, 12.

  • Judges will make the final decisions and announce the winner’s on: Thursday Dec. 15th.
  • Best Home: majority vote of the best home in the village.
  • Best Neighborhood: majority vote of Best street, cul-de-sac, or overall neighborhood.
