Halloween Decorations in Lakes of Cypress Forest

I was driving through Lakes of Cypress Forest today looking for a lot for one of my buyers to build a Dunn and Stone home on and came across this house decorated for Halloween.

I think they did a good job. The witches crashed into the side of the house were a nice addition. There was an “Open House” sign. I promise, my open houses are not this scary.

This gated community has a beautiful lake and an amphitheater for the residents to enjoy. Nestled beside the Cypress Forest Estates and Enchanted Oaks subdivisions, it is a little known but wonderful place to build a home.

No More Open House Signs

You know I like to do Open Houses , but due to House Bill 413 I can no longer post my Open House signs along the roadway to direct you in.  So please print directions if your car or mobile phone does not have a GPS service or call me and I can give you directions to my Open Houses.

Many of you have visited me at my Twilight Open Houses during the week on your way home from work and I hope you will continue to do so.  I will continue to post my Open Houses online at Har.com, Realtor.com, on my Facebook page and the Coldwell Banker Open House Facebook Page, Coldwell Banker United, and on my blog.  When your neighbors do not mind, I can put signs in their yards, too.  I just cannot put them on the main roads and medians.

I appreciate your understanding and am happy to help you with directions to any of my listings or Open Houses.  As always, if you cannot make it to my Open House and would like to arrange a private showing I am happy to arrange that for you.

Pending Home Sales Rise

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) – March pending home sales increased from February numbers and from March 2008, indicating that buyers think now is a good time to buy a house.

The Pending Home Sales Index from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) showed a 3.2 percent gain to 84.6 from February, when it was 82. The index stands 1.6 percent higher than a year ago.

The index is understood to be a forward indicator of home sales trends as it measures contracts signed, not completed sales. The uptick may indicate that home prices have fallen low enough for buyers to get off the fence.

“If inventory goes down — it’s at just under ten months now — to below eight months, that would mean we’re on the way to a sustainable recovery,” said Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist.

Anecdotal evidence indicates that trend may be happening. Realtors and other industry insiders are seeing rising open house attendance and multiple bids on some particularly desirable properties.

Today, buyers are more likely to bid because they perceive the market as at or near its bottom. An April Gallup Poll reported that 71 percent of Americans thought it was a good time to buy a house.

The South saw the largest gain of any region, with pending home sales jumping 8.5 percent from February to March. Pending sales were 7.7 percent higher in March compared with the same month a year ago.
