What are you looking for in a home?

When you are looking for a home, you want to give your Realtor the most detailed information you can about what is important to you.  A home is a special place where you spend time with your family and you want it to feel comfortable and cozy.  We all want a place to call home, but we like different things and have diversifying needs.  Here are some things to think about when looking for the perfect home:

What area of town do you want to live in?

Do you want an existing home or do you prefer one just built?

Are school districts important to you?  If you don’t have kids, maybe it’s not a concern.

How many bedrooms and baths do you want?

Do you want a swimming pool, pond, or lush landscaping?  If so, consider utility easements that you might have to work around later when building.  Also consider homeowner association guidelines.

There are many styles of houses in our area.  Do you like a Ranch Style or Townhouse?  Two story or one story?  There are so many options.

Do you prefer to lease or buy?

Do you have pets to consider?

Do you need a formal dining room or game room or study?

There are corner lots, busy streets, culdesacs, and many options in and out of neighborhoods.  Think about what will be best for your family.

These are just a few ideas to get you started.  Some people like an open house plan while others like to have cozy spaces.  As a Realtor, I am here to listen to your needs and I want to help you find a home whether it’s your starter home or the home of your dreams.  Call me today so we can get started!
