Auburn Lakes, a master planned community, might become the New “North of Houston.” Due to the Grand Parkway and North Houston’s new “Energy Corridor” the north of Houston is changing landscape. Want to move to a home that’s in the middle of everything? Auburn Lakes is close to The Woodlands and offers great amenities like golf, tennis, and much more. There’s a growing number of major energy company relocations and expansions relocating to this area that is becoming known as the “Energy Corridor.” There are different major road projects taking place that will greatly enhance east-west access to and from this area. One of those is the proposed Grand Parkway. The Grand Parkway is being constructed between U.S. 290 and I-45 North in two segments, labeled as Segment F1 and Segment F2. Construction of both segments is planned to begin in 2013 and open in 2015, just in time for the arrival of major new energy company buildings and headquarters. Plans are also under way to expand Spring- Stuebner into a major east-west corridor from Kuykendahl to FM 2920. Spring-Stuebner will be improved from a two-lane asphalt road into a concrete thoroughfare with 4-5 lanes in both directions.
Below is a radio clip where an Auburn Lakes representative discusses with Shannon Register of Houston Real Estate Radio, some of the things you can expect at Auburn Lakes. The community offers homes from the $210’s to the millions. Some of the builders are David Weekly, First Texas Homes, Infity Classic Homes, Lennar Homes, and Village Builders. There are also custom home builders like American Builders, Brickland Homes, and Cannon Custom Homes. We are told that these exciting new thoroughfares are coming in the next couple of years, but you can go ahead and check out Auburn Lakes today. They are offering some great homes in north Houston.
