If you are a buyer or seller, you’ll learn why it’s not a smart move to use a VA Loan in the Houston Market. Shannon has said, “I used a VA Loan when I purchased my first home. It’s a wonderful advantage for a veteran to use. However, in Houston, it’s hard to find a good lender that knows VA Loans and it’s difficult to get an appraiser that will appraise the house correctly. So many people who qualify for VA Loans are forced to use FHA or Conventional Loans. It’s not right. If you go to Killeen, VA Loans are the majority there, not the exception. I would love to see a change in Houston and see more Veterans able to enjoy their benefits.”
