On January 6th I had the opportunity to hear RE/MAX Founder Dave Liniger speak in Houston. One of the most successful people in the history of residential real estate sales, his views and opinions on real estate trends and conditions are constantly sought by officials in the US Treasury Department, Congressional Leaders, and governmental institutions HUD, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. He spoke about the factors challenging our business and shared his action plan for agents. Instead of moaning about the economy, he recommended classes and designations that will ultimately help consumers and help agents sell more homes and be prosperous even in a down market. As recommended by Liniger, I will be completing my CDPE designation this month. I believe this training will be beneficial for my clients in distressed situations, with short sales and foreclosures. Liniger continues to work with banks and the government to streamline the short sale process to make the process easier for agents and consumers. My clients know that being a cutting edge industry leader is important to me and that I continue to take classes and receive designations that will help them when it is time to sell.
