There are giant building cranes that hang over the I-45 (North Freeway), where the Exxon Mobil Campus is being developed. Among the many road projects, one major expansion and improvement is Spring Steubner Road between Kuykendahl and I-45. This is a 5-mile stretch of road that is going to be converted from a 2-lane asphalt road to a 4-lane concrete pavement with a 14ft-wide median. The $18.5 million improvement came from bonds & METRO General Mobility funds. The construction will be done in 3 phases, and will be slated for a completion date of Dec 2014.
