CORPUS CHRISTI (Corpus Christi Caller-Times)
– The South Texas job market is faring better than the rest of
the country, according to Ted C. Jones, chief economist and senior vice
president of Stewart Title Guaranty Co.

Jones said data from the National Association of Realtors and the U.S.
Bureau of Labor Statistics indicate that the number of jobs in the area has
almost rebounded to prerecession numbers.

In fact, the area added about 4,000 jobs in the past year, said
Jones, former chief economist with the Real Estate Center.
