THE WOODLANDS (Houston Business Journal) – Builder Taylor Morrison is purchasing 700 homesites in The Woodforest master-planned community.
Although lot prices and home plans were not available, the Houston Business Journal reports that the homes will be for buyers 55 years and older.
“We have seen substantial interest from the 50-plus buyers, especially locally,” said Woodforest General Manager Virgil Yoakum. “Approximately 54 percent of our sales come from Montgomery County, and, of those, 50 percent are over age 50.”
The Johnson Development Corp. is developing Woodforest, which is slated to have 5,500 homes as well as retail and commercial space.
