THE WOODLANDS (Howard Hughes Corp.) – Howard Hughes Corp. and its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Woodlands Development Company, opened its first office building in Hughes Landing yesterday. A second building is already in the works.

One Hughes Landing is a 197,719-sf, eight-story, Class-A, LEED Silver-Certified building.

Among the tenants in the 92 percent leased building are Strike LLC, Layne Christensen Company, PetroQuest Energy Inc., Summit Midstream, Sterling Construction, Wells Fargo Bank, GMA Garnet and Post Oak Bank.

Construction is underway for Two Hughes Landing, the second Class-A office building in the development. It will be identical in size to One Hughes Landing. Two Hughes is expected to be completed in mid-2014.

Colliers International is handling the leasing of office space. Howard Hughes Corp. is overseeing retail and restaurant leasing.

Hughes Landing is a 66-acre, mixed-use development on the 200-acre Lake Woodlands.
