SAN ANTONIO (San Antonio Business Journal) – February was a sweet month for home prices locally, as well as across Texas and the United States.

Home prices in the San Antonio-New Braunfels area rose 7.3 percent between February 2012 and 2013, according to data from CoreLogic.

The Alamo City wasn’t alone. The Dallas Morning News reported North Texas home prices also climbed 7.3 percent year-over-year.

Texas home prices jumped 6.7 percent between February 2012 and 2013.

Meanwhile, a 10.2 percent increase in national home prices marked the biggest year-over-year increase since March 2006.

Analysts from CoreLogic expect the double-digit price increases to continue in the coming months.
