BEXAR COUNTY (San Antonio Business Journal) – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has distributed over $16 million of stimulus funding in direct or guaranteed loans to rural homeowners in the outlying areas of Bexar County.
The USDA Rural Development program has backed 120 single-family home loans in the area throughout the economic downturn. Down payments are not required, and borrowers must have sufficient income to repay the loan.
The funding has also created or saved about 200 jobs.
