Historic Firehouse to Become Alexan Midtown
HOUSTON (Houston Business Journal) – Trammell Crow Residential is building a multifamily property at a historic firehouse site.

The 1.44-acre tract at Main and Hadley will become Alexan Midtown, a 215-unit complex.

Construction will begin in early January with first units available in early 2015.

The purchase comes after nine years of trying to raise $15 million to turn the firehouse into a state-of-the-art Midtown Fire Museum. Firefighters haven’t used the station since 1969. The building is not connected with the Houston Fire Department.
