In addition to hosting Texas Business Radio, Matt Register is an investment banker and serial entrepreneur. He is a Principal and Managing Director at Corporate Finance Associates in Houston specializing in mergers, acquisitions, and turn-arounds of mid-market companies. He is also the owner and founder of RREA Media, a Houston-based video production and web development company. He and his wife also own a large independent real estate brokerage, Register Real Estate Advisors.

Matt began his career in the US Army as an Infantry officer with the 10th Mountain Division and 4th Infantry Division. He served in several leadership positions including platoon leader, specialty platoon leader, company executive officer, company commander, and brigade logistics officer. He served combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq.

After leaving the Army in 2004, he joined his family manufacturing firm where he was instrumental in their 250% growth and sale to a Fortune 500 company.

Matt has a BS in Systems Engineering and Management from the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York and an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University in Houston, Texas. He lives in Montgomery, Texas with his wife and two young sons. In his free time, he enjoys coaching youth football and spending time outdoors.
