I know this is a real estate blog, but I am also a mommy of two boy and car safety is important for all of us.  Whether your grandma picking up kids on the weekend or a daddy in a hurry to work – car seat safety is so important to protect our children.  These tips are from State Farm Insurance at you can read more about kid safety tips at

Safety Tips for Kids:

1.  Until age 13, all children should ride in the backseat of the car where it is safer for them.

2.  Use a rear-facing child safety seat from birth until at least 1 year old & at least 20 lbs.

3.  Switch to a forward-facing child safety seat when the child is at least 1 year old & weighs between 20 & 40 lbs.

4.  Use a belt-positioning booster seat with a lap & shoulder safety belt for children between 40 & 80 lbs., & under 4′ 9″ tall.

Good info. I am a nurse and have seen the effects of improperly installed car seats in accidents. This is very important!
