History of the The Woodlands Grogan’s Mill area. In the Mid 1960’s George Mitchell had begun purchasing land from the Grogan-Cochran Lumber Co. In 1974 a handful of pioneer families made their way to a parcel of land called Settler’s Corner in The Village of Grogan’s Mill.

Grogan’s Mill is in many ways the most mature village in The Woodlands. The housing has matured well and the schools provide a very good educational opportunity. The access to all shopping and school is very accommodating.

This community is a must see. There are a variety of housing opportunities available, from older well-kept homes on quiet streets, to homes located on the beautiful well maintained golf course.

There are beautiful fully equipped parks with all the amenities (swimming pools, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, and picnic areas). All is available at no cost to all the residents.

In the past 15 years the population has remained stable. The population of 13,658 is the fourth largest in The Woodlands.
