When you get to the closing table, buyers are usually requested to sign the survey of the property they are purchasing. What should you look for on that survey? Below are a few points to help you.

a. Has the Surveyor signed the Survey?
b. Is the seal apparent and legible?
c. Does the Survey have the correct address- has the city or zip code changed?
d. Is the property marked as being in a flood zone?
e. Is there any “copy-write” verbiage that would prevent the survey from being used by the next purchaser?
