(Montgomery, Texas – March 5, 2013) Woodforest is opening its doors to something big in April — “Houston’s Largest Home Tour.”
Woodforest is one of seven Houston-area projects of The Johnson Development Corp. participating in the citywide tour, which will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.
In all, 84 model homes and more than 300 available homes will be open.
“Woodforest will have 13 models open during the tour,” said Virgil Yoakum, general manager for the community. “Plus, our newest model home — the ‘NextGen Home Within a Home’ model showcasing a design for multigenerational families — will open during the tour. It will be one of the only NextGen models Village Builders will open in Houston.”
Visitors on April 27 also can tour the new Lake Conroe Fire Department station in Woodforest, which will be celebrating its grand opening 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the event, youngsters can climb aboard a fire truck and enjoy other activities. Parents also can have their children’s fingerprints recorded by the sheriff’s department during the grand opening. Hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and other refreshments will be available.
Currently, 15 builders offer designs in Woodforest, including Coventry Homes, Darling Homes, D.R. Horton, Highland Homes, Huntington Homes, Lennar Homes, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, Ryland Homes and Village Builders.
